Performing Arts
Gospel Kids & Teens Theater Group has been providing a program for young people to develop their performance skills since 2003.
We are currently in rehearsal for this year’s play, “Day of Reckoning”, a drama about a young man who made bad choices, learned a harsh lesson and changed his life. A large cast of young people from age 6 to 30 will perform this original play December 3rd, 2011 at the Publick Playhouse in Cheverly Maryland.

In the Beginning

We held our first production, “Christ a Witness for All” in December of 2004. Nine talented kids performed supporting roles with adult actors in this inspiring biblical drama, much to the audience’s delight.
“Why?” performance at H Street Playhouse, 2007
More children and volunteers got involved as a result of this successful show, and in 2007 the musical “WHY?” was performed at H Street Playhouse in Washington DC. The play, based on a children book by local author and actor Terry Nicholetti was developed into a musical play by Reverend Roberts. Eleven children performed credited roles and two held important crew positions, and another dozen kids joined the cast for crowd scenes.
Making of the “Heart of an Angel. ” This is a wonderful video!
2009′s play, “The Heart of an Angel” required many dancers, and had musical numbers sung by a talented 10-year old lead singer, supported by the total cast. Throughout the 2008 and 2009 season the Gospel Kids and Teens worked hard with Reverend Roberts and their theater and dance coaches. The play was based on a true story of a young girl who died from a heart aliment at birth, leaving an important legacy. This performance left the audience on their feet, cheering, with not a dry eye in the house!
Many of our Gospel Kids and Teens have been working with Zoe Life Ministries for multiple years, and with each project their talent is honed. These young stars are shining brightly, and deserve your appreciation, applause and support. For information on how you can help with our current project, see our Page “How You Can Help” under “About Zoe”.
